After submerging into a bowl of menudo, an undocumented Mexican immigrant in the U.S. embarks on a surreal journey through his memories in Mexico in search of the rosary his mother gave him before he left the country 30 years ago.

In the valleys surrounding the Dolomite Mountains, children reimagine ancient Ladin legends while they examine bodies of water, holes, caves and passages looking for something lost or forgotten. Through a poetic choreography, the film becomes a fictional journey creating resonances between the landscape, magical thinking and Ladin – the protected old Rhaeto-Romanic language of the valleys, a puzzle unfolds as a timeless fable.

In Portugal, in the 60s, the corpse of a man appears on Dog's Beach. The corpse is identified as the major Dantas, a man wanted by authorities after his escape from a military prison where he was awaiting trial for insurrection.

“A burned-out group of Brno intellectuals decides to go to Kolochava in Ukraine to perform ‘A Ballad for a Bandit’ there.” With these words, the author's collective presents their film, in which they use primarily documentary imagery to compose a lyrical grotesque about an epochal trip, which might be their goal. But it doesn't have to be. The main tool of expression here is the film’s edit, which places various shots, statements, and meanings next to each other, often in a sort of productive conflict. Just like in a poem, the “poetic function” of art and its ability to serve as the primary tool for expressing beauty is manifested in full force before our very eyes.

1921 New York. An immigrant woman is tricked into a life of burlesque and vaudeville until a dazzling magician tries to save her and reunite her with her sister who is being held in the confines of Ellis Island.

Malik is one of many Russian immigrants who moved to Paris with his family. He begins to climb the hierarchy of the criminal ladder, covering shops, car services, nightclubs. However, a major drug dealer Jean-Michel, who has crushed Albanians, Turks, Nigerians and Moroccans, wants to distribute drugs at his points as well. Because of the threats to the family, Malik declares war on Jean-Michel.
